Armando Pelaez
Armando brings a wealth of soccer experience to Texas Spirit and Club Classic with his 28 years of coaching experience. He holds a USSF National "A" License, NSCAA Premier License, the National Youth Coaching License and the Venezuelan National License. Armando Pelaez was the assistant coach for the Dallas Burn(currently FC Dallas) from 2001 until 2003. Prior to joining the Burn, he spent three years as owner and assistant coach for the professional teams; Dallas Toros, Texas Toros and the Texas Rattlers of the United Soccer League(USL). Pelaez is a former professional player from Venezuela. He has played in Venezuela with clubs; Galicia, Portugues, Tachira and Maritimo, in the United States with the Nashville Diamonds and the Dallas Toros. He was a member of the U-15, U-17, U-20 and Olympic Venezuelan National teams. Armando has been coaching youth soccer in the Metroplex for more than 11 years. Armando is in his 8th year with the Olympic Development Program(ODP) as a staff coach, he is currently the head coach for some of the North Texas State ODP teams. Through this position Armando serves as scout for all United States Youth National teams. Armando is the representative and scout in the United States for the U-15 and U-17 Venezuelan National teams. He is Tri-lingual in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
